No New Factory Farms in Ohio!

Watch the longer video, and get the full report including expert testimony on the footage and the investigator’s diary entries at MercyForAnimals.org
Mercy For Animals conducted an undercover investigation documenting, yet again, that battery cage egg farms—which supply over 90% of U.S. eggs—are synonymous with cruelty. On factory farms, animals are mutilated without painkillers, confined in overcrowded, filthy conditions, left to languish untreated with diseases and injuries, and roughly handled by workers.
In addition to causing animal cruelty, these mega-farms siphon money away from the rural communities where they are based; lower neighbors’ property values; harm the health of nearby residents; pollute the air, water, and land; waste vast resources and contribute to global warming.
The Pew Commission on Industrial Farm Animal Production conducted an extensive two-year examination on animal factory farms and concluded that the risks they pose to human health, our environment, and the welfare of animals is “unacceptable” and that they should be phased out.
