We wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your vote for the Equal Housing and Employment Act. Ohio is now one step closer to passing this important bill that will prevent people from being fired or denied housing because of their sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.
Your vote was also symbolically important. This is the first time in our history that a vote has occurred in the General Assembly on legislation to protect Ohio’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
We applaud your Yes vote on this issue and will fight alongside you to make sure it passes the House this year.
