My Story: I started to become politically aware during the 1990’s. I was becoming another Republican supporter until Bush 41 lied about raising taxes and being a buffoon. I supported Clinton during the 1990’s. During the late 1990’s I was disappointed with the two major parties during the sham impeachment trial. I was upset when Clinton lied about having a affair and when the Republicans impeached Clinton over a private family matter. I voted a straight Democratic ticket. I was still a political novice then. 2000 to 2004 I was fed up with the major parties. In the 2000 Presidential elections I was deciding voting for Ralph Nader or Harry Browne. Voting for Al Gore was out of the question when he pick Joe Liberman for his running mate. I ended up voting for Ralph Nader for President, John Mcallister the Libertarian candidate for the Senate. I voted for the Democratic Party candidates for the rest of the 2000 ticket. It was infuriating when the Supreme Court give the election to W. Bush. It was in clear violation of the US Constitution. I was a card carrying member for the Libertarian Party for two and a half years. In 2002 midterm election I voted for any minor candidates. In 2004 president elections I voted straight democratic. When Blackwell disfranchise African- American voters and help stole the election again. I was involved with the election investigation of Ohio. This is when I started listen to WTPG heavily in December of 2004. Fast Forward to the election of 2006 I again voted straight Democratic ticket knowing who was running the elections. I was gleefully happy when Strickland won 82 out of the 88 Counties. (With the expection of Sec. of State. I voted for John A. Eastman.) This was the same time when Clear Channel was about to flip WXXM 92.1 The Mic to Fox Sports. The top rated Talk Radio station in Madison. In two months time Madison Progressives was able to save the station. When Clear Channel “learned” their lesson of trying to switch WXXM, they decided to give WTPG (and flipping other PT stations overnight) a shorter notice to its listeners.
