Just like I imagined

Well, since the Obama legacy has already been written (basically Carter II) and Reps and Dems are sticking to their scripts, what is there to post? Republicans are re-grouping after the "transgressions" during the Bush 2 years and alpha male Cheney is leading the way. Forget about the collosal waste and fraud during Bush's reign, focus on the use of Air Force One!
They're returning to their false "roots" as fiscal conservatives and painting Dems as big government spenders. Anyone disgusted at the bailouts will surely be on board with them. Never mind the system was set up by Republicans that guaranteed good ole socialization of risk, privatization of profit. I mean, who wants to live in an area filled with foreclosures? So,you pay up and bail the jerks out to preserve your community. It really is trickle-down economics: when the crap hits the fan, it hits you too. But, it seems the bad outweighs the good in that equation.
So, will Dems stop playing defense and start challenging old conventional wisdom/frames? Probably not in a meaningful way; don't want to upset the contributors too much. And then, Obama and Dems get all the blame for the economic mess while the architects (Reps, mostly) can come back as heroes. And, we can start focusing on important issues like how our neighbors are living their lives, versus this nasty financial stuff that's best left to elite capitalists. Hardy, har-har.
