An anti-gay US Surgeon General?

Guess who President Bush wants to be the next U.S. Surgeon General?

Hint: He has called gay activity "unnatural and unhealthy," compared reproductive organs to plumbing parts, and he founded a church that reportedly has a program to "cure" gays.

His name is Dr. James Holsinger. And he's the man America might be depending on for sound medical advice.

I wrote my Senators, telling them to vote against his nomination. Will you join me?

Go to www.StopHolsinger.com The Senate needs to hear from as many of us as possible, so please pass this along.

The Wingers and gays
By RussC Jun 14th 2007 at 11:30 am EDT
I swear, the people who speak the loudest against homosexuals are closeted themselves. Witness Ted Haggard.

And these religious types who say, "Homosexuality is a choice, and everyone who chooses the gay lifestyle is just doing it to flip the bird to Society in general and to God in particular" ... I think these religious types are actually saying, "I wish I could tell Society and God to go to Hell. But then I would be an outcast. I am so afraid of being looked down-upon."

The senate committee..

that will hold comfirmation hearing on the medieval doctor happens to have Hillary, Obama and Chris Dodd on it. The Republicans nominated this guy to excite the Southern Baptist base for '08 because it will provide footage of Dems supporting the lifestyle of gays.

Wonder if Mary Cheney can be brought in to testify? Or Alan Keyes' daughter? Or Phyllis Schaffley's son? Or Rep. David Dryer? too many others to list.
