Genealogy: The Dead End of Gay Marriage
Genealogy: The Dead End of Gay Marriage
The easiest way to study history is to involve yourself in genealogy. History as a strict disciple has become too sterilized, too political correct and too unreliable. To appreciate your family's ancestry is to understand the evolving events which shaped their lives.
Genealogy is for the common folk, those who braved the journey across the Appalachians, across the Rockies and into California. Those who braved Oliver Cromwell's Irish Catholic Inquisition or the Russian Immigrants escaping Peter the Great's rise to power.
Genealogists appreciate the opportunity to study famous people and presidents. I grew to understand the phrase, "More Irish than the Irish themselves". Norman invaders under the command of King Henry II tried to colonize Ireland's rich farmland, but were immediately confronted with rebellious Irish dissidents. Norman knights and lords who received Irish land grants quickly learned that Ireland was not "suitable for taming", but to ensure their own survival, they became Irish dissidents themselves.
Genealogy as a study of historical lineage can be compared to the biological lineage of DNA. The very fact that life in itself represents lineage, then generational procreation shares an equal importance which represents the genealogical patterns we all share.
We are here on this earth because our ancestor survived! Imagine the permutations, the possibilities of all the people who came before us, it is us who exist today. The heritage we share are more than just ancient documents, lists or photographs, but a bond from grandmother to granddaughter the stories that tell us who we are.
Imagine this, the genealogical maps from 100 years ago are vastly different then the patterns we see today. Today we see confused and dysfunctional family trees because of aborted children, suicides, vogue name changes and gay marriage. Each of these examples are dead ends. Aborted fetus' and suicides are self explanatory, but extravagant name changes and gay marriage represent not procreation, but self absorption with little regard for anything else.
My religious philosophy aside, gay marriage represents a society stagnant and bored with what society offers. Genealogy represents a pictorial relationship based on continuity from one generation to the next. A family's survival usually meant having a large family knowing that if some unfortunate accident happened, the family would go on. But the idea behind gay marriage implies just the opposite, that families deserve to perish because God is dead.
Is gay marriage an equal opportunity offender where discrimination against God and the traditional family only justifies their self absorption where contempt substantiates their existence? Is gay marriage more about "the news" or "drawn to the attention" as if the media would prefer to glorify gay drama queens than traditional family America?
President Obama condones both unrestricted abortion and unrestricted homosexuality as a social edict to be enforced. Socialism encourages promiscuity and bizarre social distractions so to better govern in unrestricted partition ship.
As America becomes more dysfunctional, so will the study of genealogy until it becomes too impractical or impossible to determine who was married to whom.
Gay marriage wants to justify their position, but that's the point, their position is all they see.
Politically correctness has only encouraged the narrow minded to accept the bizarre.

Thanks for the lecture John, but your religious philosophy is just that, your religious philosophy not fact. Gay marriage represents a group of people who want the same rights as the rest of society( who can marry all too easily.)
If genealogy is the requisite for marriage than that would mean that heterosexuals shouldn't be allowed to marry unless they are fertile. If a couple can't have children should their marriage be annulled?
President-elect Obama doesn't condone unrestricted abortion he feels that it is not up to politicians to decide what is right for a woman. He feels is should be up to the individual to make the decision for themselves and for pete's sake what is unrestricted homosexuality? Is there a restricted homosexuality that is condoned by Republicans? Is that like when a Senator goes to the restroom in an airport? Like Senator Larry Craig?
Please stop watching so much Fox news it encourages the narrow minded to see only the bizarre.

Thanks for the insult

What a disservice to my family. My husband and I are childless. In your book that makes us "self absorbed." My college professor sister and her husband changed their difficult-to-spell name. To you, this is a "dead end." You mourn for aborted fetuses, but you apparently don't care about miscarriages which are more common.

Please, focus on your own family. You don't know anything about mine.
