I filmed a protest in front of Republican Congresswoman Deborah Pryce's office today. The group of seniors smashed donut holes on an anvil and also stomped boxes of them as well. Photos and probably more video coming.
The most amazing thing was that Pryce saw the group and would not leave her vehicle. She immediately got on her cell and called staff, who must have advised her to drive around to the back. I kept filming and got the footage of her being whisked away upstairs without addressing the issue with the seniors, only saying "The whole donut...the whole story". Also caught on tape was a female staffer trying to intimidate the protesters by fiming them at a very close distance. I thought she might run into me at one point.
What was most amazing was hearing her say (upon being asked if she wanted a copy of their statement): "I don't care about your statement".
Right. She doesn't care...and neither does Pryce. 6.9 million seniors are affected and they don't care.
