Is Lance Armstrong a Republican?
Today's front page of the Dispatch has a photo of Armstong listening to John McCain at the podium.

It's my understanding that in the speech that McCain accuses Barack Obama of being a traitor---that he'd prefer to lose the Iraq War in order to win the presidency.

McCain was at Armstrong's convention to fight cancer.

Does anyone know if Armstrong is a McSame supporter?

I believe that the comments you are referring to were made in a Dispatch interview and not at the Armstrong event.

Armstrong"s Politcs?
By Dave Harding, ProgressOhio Jul 26th 2008 at 10:08 am EDT
Lance Armstrong, the seven-time Tour de France winner and cancer survivor made it clear that his organization does not endorse either candidate and ended the town hall with a message for John McCain’s rival: “Senator Obama could not be here, but he does not get a pass, we fully expect senator Obama to talk about the same issues and we expect him to talk about the very same disease. We will make sure that he tells us that.”

Here, Mccain delivers the old Reagan line:

Armstrong made it clear to reporters that his foundation does not endorse presidential candidates prompting a joke from McCain, “Lance Armstrong does not endorse me. I endorse him.”
