Bill Kristol: As funny as his name
|
|
Weekly Standard Editor and TIME Mag. columnist Bill Kristol will be speaking (and taking questions) at Ohio Dominican's Erskine Hall @7:30 Thurs. Feb., 22. Tickets are free but you must call 251-4651 ahead of time to get them. Today on a Columbus radio show (Open Line w/ Fred Anderle), Kristol reiterated that he stands by his statement just after the Iraq War started that, "There's a certain amount of pop psychology in America that the Shia can't get along with the Sunni and the Shia in Iraq just want to establish some kind of Islamic fundamentalist regime. There's almost no evidence of that at all. Iraq's always been very secular." Didn't Britain meet decades of resistance and fail to solve the Iraqi political puzzle? Fittingly, Kristol made that statement on April Fool's Day 2003. A google of: "Bill Kristol" "Glenn Greenwald" will produce a Greenwald post documenting some other of Kristol's doozy pontifications. A caller asked Kristol if he had any relatives who have served in the military or any neighbor's kids. He ignored the question, of course. Someone might ask Kristol why President Bush recently hosted at the White House a Shite cleric with close ties to Iran whose party is named 'The Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq'. Let's let Kristol know that with his track record he just can't be taken seriously anymore!

You do not have to be the host or sponsor to create an Event and let the entire community know about it!
I was shocked to see Kristol fill in for Charlie Rose on PBS last year.
He purrrrrrs out the talking points like a well-oiled doomsday machine.
