Dear Santa, Save Health Insurance Companies, Signed Ted

Don't look for Governor Ted Strickland to anytime soon endorse the Health Care for All Ohioans Act anytime during his administration says Green Party Candidate for Governor Dennis Spisak.

"Ted Strickland, controlled by coal and nuke lobbyists, also is a puppet when it comes to health care insurance lobbyists" said Spisak.

Spisak cites a Cleveland.com story which cites the following report: A Strickland spokeswoman said that the governor, a Democrat, thinks a government-run plan "should be affordable so it creates true competition without risking running health insurance companies out of business."

"As long as Ted Strickland supports health care insurance companies, Low-income and working Ohioans will continue to see higher insurance rates." said Spisak. "The Governor does not care about healthcare for all, just healthcare that allows his health care insurance lobbyists to continue to gouge the public with higher premiums and costs in the future."

Doesn't ProgressOhio have any policies re: false statements?

Yet again, Dennis, you are spinning. Ted Strickland has always supported health care reform. He voted for President Clinton's health care initiative in 1994 even though he knew it would cost him his seat in Congress. (Which it did.)

Heck, even ProgressOhio has praised Governor Strickland for his steadfast support of a robust public option in health care reform and the Governor's public lobbying of Ohio's Congressional delegation.

As Governor, Strickland has worked tirelessly to get funding to expand SCHIP eligibility to provide universal health care for all Ohio's children.

In Congress, Governor Strickland supported the reimportation of cheaper prescription drugs. He left Congress with an 89% rating by the American Public Health Association.

Your entire campaign seems to be based on lying about Ted Strickland's record by making him sound like he's no different than John Kasich. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear you must be a GOP plant.

Don't you think you have more responsibility than just that? I mean particularly as I'm staring at your ad praising Strickland next to this post?c

It comes down to Censorship vs. Free Speech of bloggers/commenters.

Free Speech wins with disclaimer previously mentioned.

You're not the government. Therefore, it's not censorship. It's you controlling the content of your site. Besides, it's not like he doesn't post this stuff on his own website, too.
Always so cranky

Modern, if I edited this site, I would exclude your comments. Fortunately, PO does not discriminate and all points of view are welcome. Truthiness obviously is relative. When someone quotes themselves or refers to themselves in third person, you have to question their credibility.
