FL: Rape victim arrested, denied EC

This made me want to simultaneously cry and scream. Can we put the pharmacist's "moral right of refusal" BS to bed yet? This is absolute insanity.

In short: A Florida woman was raped at a local Gasparilla parade. She went to the police. As the police were assisting her, they found 2 outstanding warrants for money that she claims she has paid. They STOPPED the rape investigation and ARRESTED HER.
A doctor had given her the Morning After Pill, and she took the first pill prior to her arrest. She couldn't take the second pill because a pharmacist decided he didn't want her to. No, I'm serious. This is a quote from the story:
"A jail worker with religious objections blocked her from ingesting a morning-after pill to prevent pregnancy, her attorney says, keeping her from taking the required second dose for more than 24 hours longer than recommended."
I don't suppose I will ever understand how someone could possibly have "religious objections" to pregnancy PREVENTION. And I know I won't ever understand how someone could get away with refusing to do the fundamental part of one's job.
What IS the job of a pharmacist? To fill prescriptions written by doctors and dispense medications requested by the consumer. NOT to fill prescriptions and dispense medications if he or she is so inclined.
And to refuse to give pregnancy prevention medication to a rape victim? Are you out of your mind?
OR DO YOU JUST HATE WOMEN.

Because really, it's not hard enough to go to the police and tell them you've been raped. It's not hard enough to convince victims to take that step. Now it just got a whole lot harder.
