About $1000 a day. That's what we taxpayers pay George Voinovich to represent Ohio in the Senate.
Yet, on Tuesday George Voinovich announced to the Senate that he and other Republicans were skipping work.
Their goal: delaying the clean energy bill. [1]
Clean energy will move on [2], but that doesn't mean we will.
It's simple. George Voinovich works for us. He stopped going to work, to stop Congress from working, so we should stop paying him.
$1000 each work day may not mean much to him[3], but let it serve as a reminder. We're watching and this time we won't stand for politics as usual.
Click here to send a message to the Secretary of the Senate, the person ultimately in charge of Voinovich's pay.
Tell her we don't want to pay for another delay. [4]
