Right Wing World: Cheney Wins Human Events' Conservative Of The Year

Human Events gives the title to the former vice president in an op-ed penned by former UN Ambassador-turned-omnipresent critic of the Obama administration John Bolton.
Cheney knows that the personal attacks on him, as offensive as they are, in reality constitute stark evidence that Obama and his supporters are simply unable to match him in the substantive policy debate.
THis win is overshadowed by Tucker Carlson's three peat as "D*ck of the Year".
Tucker Carlson: It's been a while, so let me repeat it for the enjoyment of the Washington Post's readership, and in fact everyone in Takoma Park: Dick Cheney is perhaps the greatest American to draw breath. Deal with it.

But stepping back from this reality-bending love letter, it's worth noting the larger context -- the fact that the "Conservative of the Year" is a wildly unpopular, almost clownish former vice president, who pops up on Hannity and Limbaugh from time to time, does not speak well of the state of conservative/Republican politics.
Cheney, after all, failed spectacularly in government. Cheney's attempts at governing were humiliating for him personally, and nearly catastrophic for the rest of us. If he's the nation's leading conservative voice, Democrats are delighted.
