The Dispatch reports:
Tim Rankin, an attorney and two-term Upper Arlington city councilman, is expected to get the endorsement for the 24th District, which includes UA, Grandview Heights and Marble Cliff.
He will take on Rep. Ted Celeste, a Grandview Democrat who won a convincing 10-point victory in 2006 in a district that has traditionally favored the GOP. Republicans say this seat is a key target, and Celeste has been actively raising money, pulling in over $120,000 so far this year.
This is UA City Councilman Tim Rankin, who said pictures and text found in Outlook Weekly and Gay People's Chronicle are "offensive and inappropriate." in a well publicized dispute over magazines available at the public library.
The same Councilman Rankin who advocated getting rid of "all overtly sexual materials in the library, including the "Swimsuit Issue" of Sports Illustrated"!
