Republican Sex Scandals: Prostitute Says She Had Sex With Sen. Vitter 2-3 Times Per Week

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) - A former New Orleans prostitute who will be featured in Larry Flynt's Hustler magazine appeared at his office Tuesday to accuse Sen. David Vitter of having a sexual relationship with her in 1999. Wendy Ellis told reporters that Vitter visited her two to three times a week for sexual relations between July and November 1999.

Flynt produced parts of an Aug. 22 polygraph test that he said confirmed her account, but Ellis could provide no financial records, photographs or other evidence to support her assertion that the Louisiana Republican was a client during that time.

Vitter has denied those claims.

"I want the truth to be known," Ellis said. "It was a pure sexual relationship. He would come in and do his business."

On the left, Wendy Ellis.  On the right (appropriately enough), Wendy Vitter.

By now we've all heard the story of how the Republicans tried to throw Larry Craig under the bus because an Idaho Republican Governor will appoint his replacement, but how the Republican Caucus cheered David Vitter and circled the wagons around him because Vitter's replacement would be chosen by a Democratic Governor.

What I'm wondering is will the story spill over to the Giuliani Campaign because of Senator Vitter's early edorsement of Rudy.

WASHINGTON — Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani picked up an endorsement Monday from Sen. David Vitter of Louisiana, who said he's backing the former New York City mayor even though he disagrees with his stances on social issues.

"Obviously, I disagree with Rudy on some significant social issues, and these are very important to me and to many of the people I represent," Vitter said. However, he said, after numerous meetings with Giuliani, "it's very clear to me that he's not running for president to advance any liberal social agenda."

Oh well there's nothing to worry about there, I guess . . .

Seeing that Rudy picture...that's just freaks me out. I guess forgot to follow the "what happens in Vegas..." rule. Scary.
