Then join us for a public forum and voting rights lobby day where YOU get to make your voice heard to state elected officials. Why be involved?
- You will hear from experts -- like Dan Tokaji -- in the election reform community on what changes should be made to Ohio's Electoral System. The experts get to present and YOU get to ask the tough questions.
- You will get a chance to hear from newly elected Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner on what she has done since taking office.
- You will receive a thorough lobbying training that will prepare you for meeting with your local legislator.
- You will be part of a long term strategy to bring electoral reform to Ohio that advocates for:
- Making Ohio's no excuse absentee voting law permanent
- Fixing how we purge voters from the state wide voter file
- Public agencies comply with current laws to register new voters
- Fixing provisional voting rules
- Passing a "Deceptive Practices" bill that criminalizes activity intentionally misleading voters on the date, time and place of voting.
