Based upon ProgressOhio's original complaint, the inquiry into Jon Husted's actual residency under Ohio law continued yesterday.
DAYTON — State Sen. Jon Husted defended his Kettering residency status before the Montgomery County Board of Elections on Wednesday, Jan. 7.
Husted, R-Kettering, appeared voluntarily at an administrative hearing before the board, which is investigating two complaints that he does not reside at the 148 Sherbrooke Dr. residence where he is registered to vote. Residency questions have dogged Husted for years and the complaints followed an Oct. 18 Dayton Daily News article that raised new questions about whether he lives in Kettering or at his wife's home in Upper Arlington.
Husted told the board he is at the Kettering home weekly, not daily, but he would not say how often he or his wife and two children sleep there. He said he did not know the answers to several questions, including the amount of his average electricity bill.
Water usage records released by Montgomery County late Wednesday show that usage at Husted's Kettering home since 2002 was far below the 1,600 cubic foot quarterly average for his Castle Hills residential neighborhood.
Average quarterly usage at his property was 500 cubic feet between 2002 and October, and county records show no water usage for the quarterly bills dated August 2007, April 2008 and July 2008. Greg Merrill, director of water services, said the zero usage figure means that less than 750 gallons of water was used during the quarter.
Husted declined comment on the water data.
The board of elections is considering only the validity of Husted's residency for voting purposes.
Ohio law requires that legislators live in their districts and those who do not could be required to forfeit the seat.

Who is this guy kidding?
I love this guy. He kicks around Jennifer Brunner, tries to ruin the election and when it's a smashing success, he still kicks her around.
This is voter registration fraud, pure and simple.
