Senate Health Care Plan Costs Way Less than Bush Tax Cuts

Paul Krugman pointed out several weeks ago that universal coverage would cost less than the Bush tax cuts. Using the CBO estimate, the most recently proposed plan from the Senate HELP Comittee would cost eight hundred billion less than Bush's tax cuts (which went largely to the wealthiest).

Do Krugman's numbers stand up? Nonpartisan site PolitiFact.com found that yes, this is a fair estimate, with even the ultra-conservative Heritage Institute agreeing.
