Payday Lenders Hire Bush v Gore Hitman

Having lost fair and square, payday lenders are now ponying up the big bucks (which they have plenty of since they've been bilking working class Ohioans for 391% interest for years). The Dispatch today revealed they have hired Ted Olson to try and get Ohio's eminently reasonable, interest rate cap thrown out upon final passage.

That would be the same Ted Olson that installed GW in office, arguing the R side in Bush v Gore. Perrspectives has a rundown of some of his latest partisan schenanigans.

When the cat's away, the mice will play. It's obvious to me that Mark Dann was our cat. Ted Olson has declared "open season" on Ohio. But hey - Ohio had to clean house in a hurry - despite the fact that the staff women who were being sexually harassed by staff men with or without Mark Dann's knowledge are represented by counsel. Yup - Ted now gets to take aim with a nice clear view, courtesy of the Clean House Brigade - We Discipline Our Own.

Hope Ted Winters, Acting Attorney General and former lobbyist for imprisoned Tom Noe is up to the job.
