The painfully funny Our Dumb World, a faux world atlas from The Onion editors, has this to say about Ohio:

Believing in traditional Ohio values, Ohioans know the importance of being seen by their neighbors at church on Sunday. Though they work 38.5-44 hours a week for their average annual incomes, parents always take time to enjoy some interests with their son/daughter.
When Ohio's major industries collapsed in the late 1970s, Ohioans handled it with pluck and optimism, holding a bake sale on a nice Saturday afternoon in hopes that Mrs. Lawson's delicious lemon bars might perk up the devastated economy.
With more native presidents than any state, each citizen is allowed one term in the White House, though most turn down the chance for fear that their award-winning hedges would fall into disrepair. ***
