Post from Alan Woods's Blog:
The Obama Factor
spent the morning at the opening of the Barack Obama office in Central Ohio. Amazing energy and enthusiasm; haven't seen this sort of energy (and this many young people) in a campaign since the 1960 Kennedy campaign, when I was one of the young and enthusiastic folks--even though I couldn't then vote. Obama creates that kind of excitement--palpable in the headquarters, again in a way I've seldom seen. The Kuchinich campaign, also wildly enthusiastic, was different--those of us there were part of a cause, one that we all knew was on some level futile, although we hoped to impact the general election. The Obama enthusiasm is inspired by a new generation of volunteers. And that is in itself great!

About Obama '08

I was as the offices in Columbus myself. It is interesting to see the mix of people who are going to support Obama in the election process.

This is one of the best things about this particular election year. There are people who are involved that normally just sit and complain who have taken a new or renewed interest in the political scene.
