Progress Ohio Groups for all 18 Ohio Congressional Districts and U.S. Senate
I've created groups for all 18 Ohio Congressional Districts and one group for the Next Ohio Senator.
I envision these groups as a clearing house for facts pertaining to Candidates' records, in order to cut down on the amount of reaearch we will need to do on candidates in the runup to the '08 election cycle ('10 for Senator).

Will Mayor Coleman do it?
Are there any Columbus City Council members in the 12th interested in running?
I have no idea if anyone on the City Council would/could run in the 12th (this is why we need a real Columbus blogger), and off the top of my head I can't tell you how many of them live in the 12th. Personally, though, I'd really like to recruit someone from outside the Outerbelt. We need to get some votes from Delaware and/or Licking or it's just not going to get done.
BTW, how many points do you get for creating 19 new groups?
I would recommend someone create a group for each Ohio House and Ohio Senate District. Kelley Bell has already created:
Ohio 2nd House District (Delaware County)

...which sets a template for General Assembly Districts. I just recommend making the wording/description perfectly clear that it's the Ohio House and not the U.S. House.
We're doing this already at www.licopac.org for the 12th and 18th districts and I'd like to cross post those items.
I see links to read comments but don't see links on specific congressional district pages to post comments.
Hopefully a change will be coming soon which will allow you to post *directly* from the Congressional pages.
Until then, what you do is:
1) Become a member of the group you want your post to appear in.
Become a member of the 12th Congressional District here:

Become a member of the 18th Congressional District here:

2) Write a new blog post from your personal page, and include the appropriate group:
Create a blog post by going to your private page:
Link
At the "My Blog" section, change "Manage Blog" to "Write a post" in the pull-down menu. Then click "Go".
Write/copy-paste your blog post, and before you Publish it, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the box of the "Group Post" you want your post to be cross-posted in.
3) Click "Preview", then "Publish".
Then you can go to the Group page and you will find that your post has appeared, like magic, on that page!
When people reply to your post, it will appear on that Group's page, without them having to do anything.
If you're going to be posting lots of stuff to the group, you may want to simply reply to an already-created subject on that group's blog. That way, you won't "clutter" the Progress Ohio front page. But if you think it's an important topic for all to read, go ahead and create a new topic.
I know it's a lot of hoops to jump through, but once you're set up with your Groups, it's simply a matter of selecting the ones you want. And hopefully the site will be tweaked so that you can go to the Group page and select "Write a Post" from the Group's Blog menu.
By the way, I've enjoyed reading your www.licopac.org page in the past. Good work out there.
