- Introduction
Elections Assistance Commission (EAC) oversees the secretive election systems used in the United States. It has announced the appointment of Ms. Alice P. Miller as its Chief Operating Officer (COO).
In 2003, the Washington DC Office of the Inspector General's (OIG) wrote a report

of an investigation into the unethical behavior of, among others, Ms. Alice P. Miller, Executive Director of the DC Board of Elections and Ethics. It states that Ms. Miller colluded with others to, in effect, unilaterally grant herself and a colleague $12,000 raises, and that she drafted fraudulent memos to do so.

Election IntegrityMaybe this is normal behavior inside the Beltway. Out here, it is not. At least in California, when they caught another registrar with his hand in the till, they threw him in jail.
Old fashioned integrity is at the heart of how elections work. Ms. Miller should not be serving as an Elections Director, much less as the COO of America's EAC. For colluding to steal tens of thousands of dollars from the public, she belongs in jail, where she may not be even allowed to vote, much less to count votes.
ActionCitizens should insist that Congrees should immediately conduct an investigation and hearings concerning the hiring of Alice P, Miller by the EAC. Click here to contact the House Elections subcommittee. Click here to contact the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration.

Business as usual in the EAC is no longer acceptable when the stakes are so high.
