As I drove past the BP on the way home, I toyed with the idea of stopping for gas at 3.49 a gallon. But then I thought I would wait 20 minutes to see if it would drop a penny. Then my husband informed me it was Memorial Day weekend. So my intuition was wrong, but hey, at least I am smarter than "the Boner".
Anyhoo, our fearless "leader" has some definite ideas of what is the root of soaring gas prices, and it isn't the fault of the Arab or Venezelan governments, it is not purposeful lack of refinery capacity, nor is it the fault of collusive oil companies. No, this rational and intellectual man who has admirably served for 12 years in the Republican majority has dug deep into his vast reservoir of gray matter and has brilliantly laid it out for all of us lessers the source of our pain at the pump.

We drove to Kirkersville...$.32 less a gallon than lowest we found anywhere else...line was not that long.
(We also have and oily man (Boehner) in our congressional delegation)
This is a national tragedy and our legsilators should be ashamed of themselves for letting this get out of control.
“…we need to conserve, we need alternative fuels and it means we need more domestic production. Our friends across the aisle want to conserve everything but you can’t conserve much if you are operating on an empty gas tank. We need more production in America.”
Just look at that first sentence. "We need to conserve": Good so far. "We need alternative fuels": My God, I agree! "[Therefore] we need more domestic production." Bzzzzzzzzt! And you were doing so well, Smokey John. Go to the back of the line. All you want to do is drill for more oil in ANWR, and off the Coasts, and in the Gulf of Mexico. You don't want to conserve anything. You don't want any alternative fuels. You want your American Oil Syndicate pals to make more money. That's what you REALLY want.
