Gun Issues and Gun Control
I have been keeping up with the 2008 election, and so far I am not impressed with Obama or McCain. If I chose between voting for Obama or McCain or not voting at all, I would choose not voting. I wouldn't consider myself Apathetic because I do care about who runs our country and I do know that my vote counts. I'm in the position where I don't think either candidate would put our country back on track and keep it there. Obama says that our country needs "change" when he hasn't explained in depth what he means by "change." I want a president who is very straight forward and says alright, this is what we're going to do and this is how we will do it. But, I know that will never happen.
As I have been reading the newspapers, online news, and other sources of news information, I have come to the conclusion that things will drastically change when President Bush is out of office. I'm not saying things will change by small measures by any means. Gas prices will drop a considerable amount and the economy will begin to get better. These are just a few of my perspectives, and I just thought I would share them.
So, Clinton has officially dropped out of the presidential race. This isn't a surprise to me and I'm sure it isn't a surprise to a lot of other people either. Hillary was way behind Obama in the delegate count and in fundraising. She has endorsed Obama and I really think she didn't want to endorse him.
Folks, Hillary doesn't have a chance at winning the delegates, let alone the democratic nomination! She is way behind Obama. At this point, she should probably discontinue her journey to be the first female president, as she stands little or no chance at winning. Read More »
Let's face it folks, Obama has the majority of the delegates. He has fundraised $30 Million while Hillary has fundraised $22 Million. With the endorsement of John Edwards and Robert C. Byrd, Obama can now be provided with the opportunity to reach out to blue collar voters. He wouldn't have had much success reaching blue collar voters without John Edwards. The endorsement of Robert C. Byrd is great considering Hillary's more than 2 to 1 ratio win in West Virginia. Hillary has said that if she becomes the president, she will be the president of all 50 states; way to state the obvious Hillary. Obama has been slowly gaining more and more delegates than Clinton. He's the best of the three main candidates for president for several reasons. Barack has good plans, and he is smart with words. We most definitely don't need "McBush" as our president.
Ok, I will keep this short, sweet, and to the point. Senator and Presidental hopeful Barack Obama would make a good president because he actually gives explanations for everything that he plans on doing for the United States if he is elected president.
I just figured that I would put my "two cents" in on Gun Issues across America. I'm not real sure what gun issues that are floating around out there. My opinion is that Americans (except Police and such) should not be allowed to carry a concealed weapon in public. I'm sorry, but you aren't going to be robbed every day of your life.(and to those of you on here, I hope none of you never do get robbed) What I mean by this is that some people may take advantage of carrying a concealed weapon in public. But, because you "don't want to be robbed" is a lame excuse. Now, don't get me wrong, some people may feel that they need the weapon in public for their own personal reasons.
The bottom line is that carrying a concealed weapon in public is not right. It isn't in the interest of the whole American population for those who have weapons to carry them in public. If anyone has any information about issues involving concealed weapons in public, please provide me with the information. Just a reminder to you folks that read this blog post--I'm not very educated on this topic. I only gave my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. Thank you for your time.
