My e-mail's with Mr. Case of the non-com 91.5 FM have been very well received. He is willing to some form of the progressive talk format on the new 91.5FM. He is willing to carry Pacifica Radio Network, NPR, and have local progressive talkers.

The local Columbus Community LPFM station is planning to carry Pacifica programming as well. The WHKC 91.5FM broadcast at 15Kw. (15,000 watts). Russ the chairman of Ohio Majority Radio did sent an email to Mr. Case. As a member of the core group of Ohio Majority Radio, not to sound like a pompous blowhard, I and other member of the yahoo group email Mr. Case and he listen to us.

I'm having serious concerns that the "new" 1230 AM WYTS-only first arbitron radio ratings will not show a huge decrease in listenership. 610 WTVN-AM is promoting their sister station 1230AM WYTS-AM more often. I'm afraid that this will motivate and validate Clear Channel "reasons" to drop progressive talk on 1230AM. Will this motivate Clear Channel to flip more of their progressive talk stations?

There is talk on the Ohio Majority Radio Yahoo! Group about a new broadcast tower going up in Grandview, Ohio. There are conflicting post on the Ohio Majority Radio Yahoo! Group. Tonight's core meeting I will find out more.

While listen to John Corby yesterday, (a sick guilty pleasure of mine) I did find out about the new WCSN-LP TV32. It is going to be a local sports station/network. It will focus on Columbus Metro Area Sports. It will be available on the three local Cable systems.

Last night town hall meeting with the FCC commissioners was a success. There were a lot of people from all walks of life express their concern on how big media is overriding people's voices over the airways. Russ Childers, Victoria Parks, and David Dulton from Ohio Majority Radio express their concern and disgust on how Clear Channel is offering one point of view.

In an email exchange with Mr. Chase, the General Manager of the new non-commercial WHKC 91.5FM express interest in carrying programming from NPR, Pacifica Network, and possibility commercial progressive talk. On how is he going to do that remains a mystery.

WTVN 610AM is promoting the new WYTS-only 1230AM. WTVN is running an "office pool" promotion on both stations. It seems to me that there are promoting the "new" 1230AM on 610AM more often. Talk 1230 is still using the old progressive1230.com URL. Funny Huh?

I was listen to WTVN 610AM for the weather. I was quite surprise that WTVN broadcast an ad from freepress.net for tonight's town hall meeting about media consolidation. To remind people here is the info:

Quinn thinks Joe McCarthy is a Hero, is against the recommendations of the 9/11 commision, and putting down the families of 9/11 victims. Time for the rebuttul.

Joe McCarthy was never a hero. He made reckless unsubstantial accusations of Americans patriotism. From Wikipedia:

Suspicions were often given credence despite inconclusive or questionable evidence, and the level of threat posed by a person's real or supposed leftist associations or beliefs was often greatly exaggerated. Many people suffered loss of employment, destruction of their careers, and even imprisonment. Most of these punishments came about through trial verdicts that would later be overturned, laws that would later be declared unconstitutional, dismissals for reasons that would be later declared illegal or actionable, or extra-legal procedures that would later come into general disrepute. He was playing into Soviet Russia hands in suppressing America's rights of dissent.

The LPFM Columbus Community Radio is supposed to be hitting the airwaves in March. I'll be tuning in to here reality based radio again. The station is going to be broadcast at 98.3FM for Columbus, and at 102.1FM, for Bexley, New Albany, Westerville, and Gahanna. One questions what is the call letters for the LPFM community radio? I can take a break from listen to the War Room.

Today's insane ramblings of the War Room are nothing new. I continue to listen so you don't have too. (Hmm, where did we hear that before?) I'll keep doing this until Mama gets back on the air in C-Bus.

First uninformed rant by the Katzjammer Kids is that President Bush is better for the environment than Al Gore. Excuse me, Quinn? Here are some reality-based facts about Bush's anit-environment practices.

The Clear Skies Act does the following:

_ Weakens the current cap on mercury pollution levels from five tons per year to 26 tons.

_ Weakens the current cap on nitrogen oxide pollution levels from 1.25 million tons to 2.1 million tons, allowing 68 percent more nitrogen oxide pollution.

_ Weakens the current cap on sulfur dioxide pollution levels from two million tons to 4.5 million tons, allowing 225 percent more SO2 pollution.

_ Delays enforcement of smog-and-soot pollution standards until 2015.

_ allows industrial buildings undergoing renovation, modernization, or expansion not to install machines that allow the building to come into current environmental standards compliance.

By 2018, the Clear Skies Act would allow 450,000 more tons of nitrogen oxides, one million more tons of SO2, and 9.5 more tons of mercury than what would be allowed by enforcement of the Clean Air Act.

The second and final uninformed rant of Quinn says that Al Gore is a hypocrite on the environment. He also says that Gore can't be trusted because he claimed to invent the Internet. Last, he doesn't understand how carbon credits work. Now for the facts.

First Gore has a negative carbon footprint. When he flies he buys carbon offsets. Carbon offsets are "credits" that organizations, persons, ECT, buys through proxies who reduce their emissions and/or increase their absorption of greenhouse gases. Now Al Gore never says that he invented the Internet. Here is the info about the

High Performance Computing and Communication Act of 1991.

The HPCA (or the Gore Bill) leads to the creation of the commercial Internet. That act was followed up with other acts that help fund to create Mosaic, the first GUI based web browser, and the National Information Infrastructure. Witch creates the guts of the commercial Internet.

I was elated that you reference on of my e-mails on today's show. If you can make a simple mistake of leaving the word "Warrants" of the fourth amendment, I can mistake on whose on the US twenty dollar bill. I like making and spending money.

I would like to know why are you so for bombing of Iran. Do you realize who is one of Iran's major allies? The Russians. The Russians do a lot of business in that country. If Bush decides to use nuclear bunker-busting bombs on Iran, do you realize the repercussions? Russia might find some of their"lost" nuclear warheads and might launch them. Plus of the nuclear fallout that can spread to other countries? Then you want Armageddon do you?

I was quite amused that you said that the UK appeases dictatorships. Well some of our allies have oppressive governments. Here is a sample:

Pakistan (rumored to be hiding Bin Laden)
Saudi Arabia (15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers comes from this country)

"Love your enemies, do good to those who treat you badly. To anyone who slaps you on one cheek, present the other cheek as well".

As for my racist insensitive remarks; I made no such remarks. I simplyrelated my experience truthfully and described the cab driver honestly.If it were an Italian cab driver I not only would have described him in that way, but would have responded the same. Only, I may have done it in Italian. In fact, I'm sure of I would have. To answer your question; Would Jesus approve of how I handled the situation; I highly doubt it. But, again, I am a sinner in need of a savior. I would love to tell you that because I profess to be a Christian -- I never make mistakes. But, that would be lying -- and God knows -- I already have a lot to be forgiven without adding lying to the list. I try my best in every situation to act as Jesus would -- but, I make mistakes.

Why would I support the bombing of Iran? Where in the bible does Jesus advocate killing? I would suggest he never advocates killing. But, what you suggest is something much worse; and that is that the Bible advocates a very dangerous type of pacifism -- Absolute.

By your very words and your scripture references, you would have me believe the
following; Your very young child is being brutally hit upon by some devient, crazed man. You are only a few feet away. You are larger than this man -- although at this point -- size does not matter -- he's beating your child to a pulp. Your child is crying -- possibly dying. You stand their and do nothing. In fact, after he has beaten your child -- you hand him your other child to do with the same.

Do you really expect me to believe that you would hand this man your other child? Do you really expect me to believe that you would not do what ever was necessary to protect your child? This is absolute pacifism and it is absolutely insanity. That, sir, is your "present the other cheek as well" scripture that you choose to
stand behind -- that I suggest you take out of context. It is an entirely different matter when a situation becomes a matter of self-defense or the protection of the innocent.


There has been and always will be a struggle between good and evil. In "War and Conscience" by Allen Isbell, you'll read that there have only been 300 years of peace in the the past 5, 500 years. There has been over 14,000 wars of all sizes with a total 3.5 billion casualties since 3, 600 B. C..

I shudder to think that Quinn is the sane one of the Pro-War Duo. She's crazy, not Kitty Harris crazy.

Disappointed that Borat didn't won for Best Adapted Screenplay.

I did watch last night 60 Minutes. It was funny that Captain Phone Sex, (If you listen to Steph Miller Show you know the ref.) says that he only says shut up six times. Moron.

It is very disconcerting to make blanket statements that all Muslims are terrorists. Hypothetically I can say that all white middle age Christian men are terrorists. Based on the actions of David Koresh and his followers and Timothy Mcviegh.

Now you keep harping on how the Democratic Party is not supporting the troops. Let's see, so far the Bush administration's record as far as its treatment of "the troops" is as follows:

* Created an unnecessary war and then sent them to fight it.
* Sent many fewer troops than were necessary to have a hope of success.
* Failed to provide the best possible protection for them, despite the billions of dollars burned every month during the war effort.
* Indefinitely extended their tours of duty.
* Refused to bring them even after it's clear that their sacrifice is serving no concrete purpose.

So, now we find out that when these soldiers are grievously wounded, the Bush administration wants them out of sight and out of mind. Well, to me that makes perfect sense. After all, if you have committed a crime and you want to escape punishment, the first thing you need to do is hide the evidence. On top of all that the deplorable conditions at Walter Reed hospital. John McCain did called Rumsfield the worst sec. of state in history.

Now you claimed that it is the Democrats are making an issue of Obama's race. Wasn't it Rush called Obama a half minority? Wasn't Glenn Beck called Obama Colorless?

The NSA warrant less wiretaps are unconstitutional. The FISA act sates that the NSA must get a warrant 72 hours after the tap. Plus the federal government saying trusts us that we are only spying on terrorist. Plus do you want Hillary have the same powers as Bush does right now?

The PM of Iraq is very friendly with the figurehead of Iran. The Mullah's of Iran hold the real executive power in Iran.

There is a market for Progressive Talk. Air American and Jones Radio Network Progressive Talkers are on more stations than your show.

Quinn claims that it is the Democrats are the ones that brought up Obama's race. Um excuse me? Of the January 24 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Limbaugh referred to Obama and actress Halle Berry as "Halfrican American[s]." Also, on the January 16 broadcast of his radio show, Limbaugh called Obama a "half-minority" and said that "the media ... are in the midst of Obama-gasms" because "Barack Hussein Obama" has formed a presidential exploratory committee. Further, on February 7, 2006, Limbaugh said he "kind of like[d]" a caller's statement that Obama "is the Donovan McNabb of the U.S. Senate."

On February 12th 2007, to quote Glenn Beck "Obama is "colorless ... he might as well be white"

Quinn keeps on harping about how the Democrats are not supporting the troops. The troops are recovering in deplorable conditions in Walter Reed Hospital. This is no way supporting the troops. First he cuts Veterans benefits, and now the horrid conditions of Walter Reed hospital.

I would like to congratulate on you making the Talker's Magazine top 250 talkers. Being 68 out of 250 must make your proud. While The Ed Schultz Show, a Progressive talker is rank number five.

On your show today you make a claim that the fourth amendment doesn't have the word Warrant. In fact it does. Here is the text of the fourth Amendment:

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

The word, Warrant(s) does make an appearance. Now onto the Supremacy Clause of the United States of America

Article VI, Paragraph 2 of the United States Constitution is known as the Supremacy Clause:

"This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding."

The Supremacy Clause establishes the Constitution, Federal Statutes, and U.S. treaties as "the supreme law of the land." The Constitution is the highest form of law in the American legal system. State judges are required to uphold it, even if state laws or constitutions conflict with the clause.
When the US Government signs off on the Third Geneva Convention it becomes apart of US Law.

US military and US embassies, is consider to be US soil. Hence all laws and treaties that the US Government enters into do apply. Why would any America want to see terrorists go free? If we don't give a fair, impartial, trial in civil court, a Judge might overturn any convention in a military tribunal. Who wants that?

The 1993 WTC bombers was caught, tried, and convicted in US Civil Court. They are now serving life sentences without parole. We are a nation of laws.

ACLU protects our rights. Both for the left and the right. They defended Rush with his Oxycotin "problem".

Abdul Tawala Ibn Ali Alishtari pled not guilty in a Manhattan federal court last Friday, denying charges that he's a terrorist financier. But that's a matter in some dispute, and not just by the prosecutors. According to The Blotter at ABC News.com, the indictment charges that he arranged for $152,000 worth of bank transfers to fund a terror training camp. But if that doesn't convince you he's a funding terrorist, maybe this will: Alishtari also gave 10% of that total to the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Now who's for the terrorist? The RNC is going to give the "blood money" to charities if he is convicted?

I am getting tired of listen to the War Room. Yeah I know that I can stop, but I need material for my blog. Here is some more insane ramblings form Quinn. I only felt like to listen to the first segment of hour one.

Quinn was praising the federal court ruling on denying Enemy Combatants constitutional rights. Guantánamo Bay is US soil and all laws, treaties, and the US Constitution applies. Article Six of the US Constitution says that any treaty that the US Government enters into is part of the supreme law of the land.

Quinn likes to bash the ACLU. The same ACLU that defends Druggie on his Oxycotin problem. ACLU will defend your rights to Quinn.

Quinn BLAH BALH racist remarks, BLAH, BLAH, screw human rights groups, more pointless drivel. Turn to WCBE-FM.

Today is the 45th anniversary of former Democratic Senator of Ohio, and first American in space, John Glenn. I would congratulate him on his service.

Today on NPR's Morning Edition, and on Slashdot.org, there are reports on XM and Sirius Radio wanted to merge. This is another attempt of Media Consolidation. According to the FFC own rules. They can't merge. But it is a possibility that the FCC will ignore their rules. Since there is a 50/50 chance of this happens, will XM and Sirius "streamline" their channels? If so we progressive must email them to keep XM's AAR channel and Sirius American Left channel.

Last night I watch the documentary …So goes the Nation. It is about the 2004 Presidential election in Ohio. The documentry did an average job covering the 2004 election in Ohio. They briefly cover the long lines in the urban percents VS. The short lines in the rural/suburban percents in Ohio Over all they gloss over the real issues of both campaigns. At 1:25:33 mark of the documentary I saw yours truly in the background. Well part of my face.

Jason Thomas and his family deserved a new house. Mr. Thomas and former Marine, volunteer to help rescue people from the destruction of the WTC. He rescue two port authority police officers, and never ask for anything in return. He moved into an 8 year old house in Whitehall Ohio that was a lemon. He is one of the few true heroes of that horrific day.

According to this week The Other Paper (Feb. 8th to the 14th) the Columbus Dispatch is making changes. They will shrink the size of the paper by two inches, cut the Op-Ed page, layoff its senior employees. Now they are going to spend money on a new Dispatch Kitchen, with broadcast capibilites. They are thinking to incres their food coverage. More fluff less content.

In yesterday's Dispatch the newly elected AG, Mark Dann is getting a brand new gas guzzling SUV. Here is what he is getting:

I can also get W23BZ TV23 broadcast at 17 kW and is another low power station, just fine. While I have a hard time tuning in WCMH TV4. They broadcast at 95.5 kW.
