Paddy Shaffer's Blog
After years of investigation into the many problems of the 2004 presidential election and subsequent elections, Paddy Shaffer continues reporting on her findings, and has founded "The Ohio Election Justice Campaign". She works to return the rule of law to Ohio elections and have accountability for those who violate Ohio election laws. "You can like or not like a candidate, but in this country we should have the actual candidate the people elected."

Dear Chris Redfern,

I find it interesting that you would write me for money for the Democratic Party in Ohio. You and I both know that I am very disappointed in the position that the Democratic party has taken on one of my main issues... the theft of Ohio's elections. I am so disturbed that I have very little faith in what the party is currently doing.

When you are willing to sit down with me and discuss election fraud in Ohio, and the needed investigation and prosecution... and... how if we did that we could take out the current unelected people that live in the White House and in the Vice Presidents Mansion... AND end the current Iraq War and make sure there is no Iran War... I'd be happy to write you a little check. Of course you would need to be serious about this, and ready to help get the needed work done.

You were there when I gave John Kerry books and other documents about the election fraud. Would you like to look and see what we have gathered? I'll show you? As Chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party, you should be very interested. When Denny White had your job, during the last presidential election, the election was STOLEN, yes stolen, and still nothing has been done. The Ohio and National Democratic Party have maintained silence on the subject. WE THE PEOPLE ARE NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS. Lets catch all the crooks, and end the war.

Call me, lets schedule a time to talk it out.

The War can be stopped by acknowledging that Bush and Cheney were not elected, and have no authority to make these decisions. End the Iraq War, Stop efforts to have a War in Iran. Investigate the Ohio (and Florida) election theft! Everyone can help, get an opinion.

Dear Supporter,

Just 234 days from now, we will change the nation. And once again Ohio will be the key to winning the White House.

At the Ohio Democratic Party, we've been working around the clock for victory...building a strong door-to-door grassroots operation… registering new voters… talking to potential supporters… and exposing the reckless plans of John McCain and the Republicans. If we wait to lay this groundwork, it will be too late.

Nothing will change in Washington, unless we elect a Democrat to the White House and that's why your continued support of the ODP right now is so critical.

Your donation of $100, $50, $35 or $25 can really make the difference this year. Donate securely today at www.ohiodems.org/donate.

And for the next two weeks, your contribution can have double the impact. A handful of generous Party supporters have agreed to match your contribution dollar for dollar through the end of March.

That means your $100 contribution is worth $200 to the Party. And your $50 becomes $100. Double your impact and donate securely today at www.ohiodems.org/donate.

We cannot wait until our Party has a nominee - we must do everything we can now! And that's why I'm turning to you today.

Please be as generous as you possibly can today. Together we'll build a better Ohio and a better America. Donate today at www.ohiodems.org/donate.

Thank you for your support,

It seems that on this final day of 2007, that a stiff drink might be needed for some who have been following the Ohio Election Theft fiasco from 2004. I rarely drink, but recommend a stiff one now for those of you that can be responsible consumers. Compliments of a reporter, I was just sent the following article regarding the 2004 ballots in Clermont County that had little garage sale type stickers over the votes for John Kerry, and also the gay marraige amendment:

This link is for a Saturday August 11, 2007 Cincinnati Enquirer blog titled "Clermont County's ballots."
http://frontier.cincinnati.com/blogs/gov/2007/08/clermont-countys-ballots.asp

From the article:
Brunner had no firsthand knowledge about the two stickered ballots, but said her staff is committed to painstakingly examining any lingering questions or concerns about 2004, while working to improve future elections.

Please make note that on August 6th, 2007 I was in Secretary Brunner's office with Dr. Richard Hayes Phillips photographing those very ballots. We were in room 1706, on the 17th floor. We went to the 16th floor via elevator, to the office of Secretary Brunner and in person made a request (which I had done hours earlier via phone as per the suggestion of Doug Miller) to Bobbie Gilbert, Jennifer Brunner's Executive Assistant that we were inviting Secretary Brunner to come to room 1706 to view the stickered ballots. This is the actual physical evidence of the theft of the 2004 Presidential Election, which was right there in her office, in a room where Doug Miller her Manager of Security was overseeing our photographing of these election records. We told Bobbie that if we even only had 20 to 30 seconds of the Secretary's time, we just thought it very important that she see the actual ballots. Bobbie Gilbert said that Secretary Brunner was too busy that day. I then requested that she come herself or send other staff, Chris Nance, Kellye Pinkleton, Kathy Spinelli, Brian Green, or other top staff. Just send someone to come and see the stickered ballots while they were there.

Richard and I went back to room 1706, and spent the next several hours continuing to photograph Clermont, Delaware, and other county ballots. Not one of Ohio Secretary of State, Jennifer Brunner's top staff, nor Brunner herself showed up to look at these stickered ballots. Doug Miller, Manager of Security did see the two we found that day, as did several other staff members that came into the room to speak to or to help Doug. One lady that was having a job interview got to see one of the ballots when we took it to Doug's personal office to have natural light with which to photograph it by his window. The conference room we were working in had a yellowish light to it. Richard and I wanted to show everyone, tell everyone in the office we could the story. So there are a few people there that have seen stickered ballots. We hope their jobs are safe. But why would the leadership people avoid this?

I must question this... Brunner had no firsthand knowledge about the two stickered ballots, but said her staff is committed to painstakingly examining any lingering questions or concerns about 2004, while working to improve future elections.

How does ignoring and avoiding any look at the 2004 election (with the slight exception of some changes in Cuyahoga County... though still no one has gone to jail there, or anywhere for the many documented election crimes) count as being, "committed to painstakingly examining any lingering questions or concerns about 2004...."?

It has now been 146 days since she was asked to meet with what has become The Ohio Election Justice Campaign, and there has been no meeting. It is the last day of the year 2007. Not one person has served time in jail for this election theft, the largest crime in the world. Brunner has in her possession over 2200 boxes of 2004 ballots and election records, which they refuse to investigate, including the stickered Clermont County ballots. The Attorney General also has not investigated, although he and his office have Dr. Richard Hayes Phillips book full of detailed information and statistics on those ballots. Brunner has many chapters of the book. Both offices have a large amount of information that I have provided, and information from Tim Kettler and Paul Harmon Esq. They both have all the information in the King Lincoln lawsuit. Both offices have Sherole Eaton's whistleblower lawsuit regarding the Triad technician switching out the hard drive on the voting machine tabulator prior to the recount.

Just when does this nation see justice? When do the people paid to enforce our laws actually enforce them and represent the people, and not these corrupt election officials and employees of the voting machine company's? How much can we as the public allow them to ignore, and for some of us, how much can we ignore because it's just not comfortable to deal with the magnitude of the lies. So if this has all been illegal, and this constitutional crisis blows out, what part must the average citizen play? What does that mean to us individually. What if you voted for or against these election thief's...? Will you let it continue for your kids? I've had people say... "My guy won so why should I care". Wow... you are the folks with the biggest "enabler" burden to carry. I hope those stones are heavy on your shoulders, I hope one day you hurt like this country is hurting, this is just NOT allowable. Please put some deep thought into this.

For those of you that say, it couldn't have happened there were both Democrats and Republicans there. I have an important observation to share with you, both parties were involved. This may be a reason the current Attorney General and Secretary of State don't want to deal with it. Would such scandal help the Democrats win a presidential year? No, it won't help anyone. This is terrible, treasonous, rotten issue for everyone. The Republicans as the beneficiaries own much of it. Then there is the Ohio State Democratic Party, and the National Democratic Party, who have both allowed this to happen. I do mean allowed, they know. Then there is John Kerry and John Edwards, who have both been provided with documents on the election fraud. Both also have neglected to take on the issue. I gave them to Kerry; my brother provided them to Edwards.

At this point I don't bother to ask what party the election officials represent because we have mountains of evidence that both deserve credit. Lets start where my investigation started, it was Delaware County Democrat and Deputy Director of the Board of Election Kim Spangler, along with Delaware County Democrat and Board of Election member John Myers who stepped up to block the 2004 recount. John claimed such a high level of poverty for that BOE that they couldn't afford to plug in the tabulators for the recount, thus the temporary injunction to stop the recount, which they were taking to court to make permanent, which then blocked the full state. I asked John Myers if they needed a 220 outlet like a clothes dryer, or a regular wall outlet? John said a regular wall outlet. I then told him to unplug the coffee pot. The budget for the Delaware County BOE for 2004 was over $900,000.00 and they can't afford to plug into a wall outlet in the Rutherford B. Hayes County Building. Oddly enough, the building is named for a former US President that also stole his election. Go figure.

In just under 7 hours it will be 2008, another Presidential Election Year. Whoopee... the same alleged criminals run everything. Please to all the Americans out there that read this, this is not a partisan issue. This is national security, treason, the blatant arrogant trashing of democracy. Join us and take a stand, make your voice heard. NEVER AGAIN!!! All the "Looking Forward" that the Secretary of State has been doing is leaving us totally unprepared for the upcoming elections, with the same alleged criminals in place. How is this preparing? Now she plans to give them 15 days to run elections, let them know which precincts will be the ones to be audited for a recount, close the small precincts for super precincts which destroys the usage of historical data on how an area votes, and more. This is dire. Plus we can spend more money on more crap machines to tabulate our votes, machines that Colorado just decertified. And what about those Clermont County ballots that Brunner should have learned about as a candidate, or when we went to her office to invite her to see them, which in the below article she claims to have no firsthand knowledge about. Plausible deniability doesn't work. We all know about those ballots, and Secretary Brunner should have been embarrassed to claim ignorance of them.

Asking for clarity on how the decisions on the testing results will now be made is of great interest to The Ohio Election Justice Campaign, the citizens of Ohio, the citizens of the nation, and to the world. When the fate of the planet can rest on the voting machines in Ohio, what the reports reveal and what actions will be taken are of importance.

On Wednesday December 5, 2007 in a phone call with Brian Green, Election Counsel for Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, I raised multiple issues regarding the timeline, procedures, and parties involved on behalf of the Ohio Election Justice Campaign, whose members were and continue to be troubled by the lack of clarity on the when, how, and who of decisions based on the report. Verbal questions to Mr. Green on this topic include the following:

Will there be an ad hoc committee formed?
Will there be hearings?
Will the hearings be public?
What is the protocol or procedure to be included in the public hearing, testimony,
or meetings to discuss Project EVEREST?
What is the timeline?

This was followed up with a more formal request for this information sent as a letter to the Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Nance and other key members of staff. I have included the letter and requests for information at the end of this blog.

Since we have raised the issue, we are pleased that the Secretary of State is beginning to reveal a plan for the public to know something of what is coming. We hope the many detailed questions we ask are answered in a timely manner. Members of the media were copied on our written request.

The Ohio Election Justice Campaign is pleased to say that since the phone call to Mr. Green and the letter requesting information, we are now seeing a response to these issues coming via the Dispatch and the Plain Dealer at http://www.dispatch.com/live/content/local_news/stories/2007/12/09/z-apoh_cuyahogaelections_120.ART_ART_12-09-07_B4_8B8NJTK.html?sid=101
And at http://www.cleveland.com/news/plaindealer/index.ssf?/base/cuyahoga/1197107119143840.xml&coll=2

These reveal a little about what is coming, but many more details about the process are needed. Who makes the decisions, can we observe the process and participate in the process… and what is the timeline are just a few prime things we all have a right to know as citizens in a democracy. We pay the bills for all aspects of this, and just as importantly, bringing the process into the open is the best defense we have against the culture of corruption that has reigned for too long in our fair state.

The letter to the Secretary of State and Staff:

Re: Request for Project Everest report and recommendations parties, process, and timeline

Dear Ms. Brunner, Ms. Gilbert, Mr. Nance, Ms. Pinkleton, Mr. Klein, and Mr. Green:

We are writing to request the document or documents that provide information on the parties, process, and timeline for review of and/or deliberation on the Project Everest report and recommendations.

1. The names, titles, and, if possible, contact information of all legislators, committees, or deliberative bodies, including liaisons, assistants, consultants, or ad hoc committees, that will receive a copy of the report and recommendations.

2. The names, titles, and, if possible, contact information of all executive personnel, including the gubernatorial liaisons, assistants, or consultants, as well as election officials at the county and statewide level and their consultants or deliberative bodies, whether public or private, that will receive a copy of the report and recommendations.

3. A description of the deliberative process involved in reviewing the report and recommendations, whether in writing or orally, including whether such process will be open for public observation and/or comment and where and when such opportunity for public observation and/or comment will be.

4. The timeline for review and/or deliberation on the report and recommendations, including the timeframe for study and/or comment by all parties who receive the report and recommendations, including legislative and executive personnel, the anticipated completion of review/deliberation, and any deadlines imposed either internally or externally.

5. Please add my name and contact information on the list of people to be informed of all meetings, and please copy me on all documents: Paddy Shaffer, paddy@columbus.rr.com, 614-761-0621.

According to a phone conversation with Brian Green, I understand that Mr. Nance will need to share this information with me. He has not yet returned my call, and this is a very timely matter. I am copying this letter to all of you in the hope I will receive a timely and meaningful response.

I had requested permission for the OEJC to observe the Project Everest testing by phone several times, and in writing prior to and on November 7, 2007, and on November 22, 2007. These requests were denied by Mr. Nance in a letter dated November 30, the last day of testing, and the letter arrived via email on Sunday, December 2 at 4:06 p.m. This was neither a timely nor meaningful response.

This above request is a matter of legitimate and public interest to the citizens of Ohio and the citizens represented by the OEJC, and we would appreciate the courtesy of a speedy response.

Given that the process as publicly reported is apparently outside the regular course of executive/legislative decision-making as well as the significant public interest in the results of this process, we would also appreciate up-dated information should any of the above requested information be changed or revised in the course of the process.

I would also like to know who reviewed the package of information that included the Nevada and Washington state product liability lawsuits regarding voting machines that we delivered to your office on November 30, 2007. These were provided as a possible template for a recall and refund regarding the Ohio voting machines. Whom shall we call to discuss the package?

Thank you for your time and attention.

Sincerely,

Paddy Shaffer,

On November 30, 2007, the final day of the testing of Project Everest, the 1.8 million dollar HAVA taxpayer funded testing of Ohio's Voting Machines by Ohio Secretary of State, Jennifer Brunner, hopeful packages from The Ohio Election Justice Campaign were delivered in the capital city of Columbus Ohio. The deliveries were to Governor Ted Strickland via staff member Peg, to the Ohio Senate and the Ohio Controlling Board who approved the money for this project, to Attorney General Marc Dann via Assistant Chief Damian W. Sikora, and to Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, via Executive Assistant Bobbie Gilbert who said the package was on her own desk.

A voting machine jingle…

It was the final day of testing and all through the state, voters were praying that the machines would just go away… up on the tables they saw with a grin, a package of real paper ballots and pencils and pens, hand counted at the precincts, by locals they knew… and the outcome was auditable, no longer were the voters to be screwed.   Read More »
This is an important video, titled "More Dead Cause of Ohio" that ties in the theft of the Ohio Election with the many soldiers now dead... because of what has happened in Ohio. The ripples in this dark pond water are rolling around the world, andsadly the dead continue to be buried.

This Video is based on a Neil Young song, and it includes scenes from the new David Earnhardt movie "UNCOUNTED". David is a supporter of The Ohio Election Justice Campaign, and we recommend the movie.

Who are these people that decide what justice is for the American citizens whose votes are stolen, intentionally. The Judge in the Cuyahoga case is now part of the wacky cast of characters that have been paraded in the very bad theater of Ohio Elections. Common Pleas Judge Shirley Saffold might be on the scale of an award winning character… for what another citizen investigation shows. And she is the Judge that on Monday, November 5, 2007 was entrusted to make a decision for which our Democracy, and the issue of accountability for Ohio election crimes was riding on. The fate of Maiden and Dreamer, two former employees of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections who were convicted of rigging the 2004 recount and each sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Had they served that time, we would have had one example of accountability for election crimes in Ohio. We would have had one story of investigation and prosecution that might have made those who have also committed election crimes in Ohio, who still are running elections in Ohio… think twice about doing anything rotten or criminal in 2008.

The word from staff members of the Ohio Attorney General's office during The Ohio Election Justice Campaign Memorial Anniversary of the 2004 election funeral procession was that something had been done about election crime. Cuyahoga County was their example. Now what?

Were the two women, Maiden and Dreamer, the real guilty parties, or did the blame go higher up the ladder to those who at the time of the recount ran the Cuyahoga Board of Elections (BOE). Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner helped to clean out that BOE early in 2007. Vu, Dillingham, and Bennett are no longer there. Michael Vu is now the number two guy running elections in San Diego. There has been no accountability for those at the top, would further investigation reveal anything more? Will election crimes now spread to the west coast? Is this all an internal terrorist attack, as Americans destroy America? Or treason?

All the people wanted is what they paid for… while we pay election officials to run out elections, please just count our votes correctly the first time. Then when we are forced by necessity to raise additional money from citizen to recount what should have been accurately counted the first time… just count the damn ballots, don't cheat, and give us the actual results. It doesn't seem so hard.

On election night, in Miami County, the vote totals were off in every precinct in 2004. The Boy Scouts were blamed for some of the election errors. They were blamed for delivering the ballots to the wrong precincts. So the Boy Scouts are the problem, not the paid adults in charge. In Delaware County, Kim Spangler and Janet Brenneman gave the credit for the large number of people who voted both for Bush, and that gay marriage is OK, to the shop owners. Colorful characters they are, Kim and Janet each claimed three times on March 23, 2006 before three witnesses, that they know the vote count in Delaware is correct, because "all the shop owners are GAY", and they didn't mean "happy". When three members of what is now known as The Ohio Election Justice Campaign asked many of these same shop owners, they denied it. The number of people that voted for both George W. Bush, and for allowing Gay Marriage was in the thousands, and we were denied access to the ballots that March day, because of "the rule". So then Director of the Delaware County Board of Elections Kim Spangler, who was collecting a salary from the tax payers lied (a violation of law) and denied access because of "the rule", but could not tell us where in "the law" it said we couldn't look at those gay friendly republican ballots. We pay these people… and who are these people?

So we come back to the Judge for this trial, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Shirley Strickland Saffold, who showed up an hour and ten minutes late for the morning hearing. This hearing was not on the docket. It appears to have been slid in the day before an election, as though the voting public had been told to go hell. Saffold's ruling Monday allows Maiden and Dreamer to continue to avoid the original sentence of 18 months, and remain out of prison. They instead will be in a "Six Month Diversion Program". If their behavior while on probation in this program is good, that will be considered when they return for sentencing on May 27, 2008.

How does this work, well they were not car thieves, jaywalkers, identity thieves, stealing aluminum gutters for recycle metal, nor kidnappers, but they rigged a recount for the office of the President of the United States of America… as we are so often told… the most powerful country in the world. Lets put it in perspective… they rigged a recount for the office of the President of the United States of America. The people should in the streets and be furious, the Ohio Attorney General and Ohio Secretary of State should be there grasping for the last shreds of life in the death of democracy that has occurred… just four days after the three year anniversary of the theft of that same US Presidential election.

What is the chance Maiden and Dreamer will have the opportunity to be on the inside, to handle and rig another election recount during this probation? Pretty darn slim in my view. So they will likely be reported to have good behavior. Will there be any accountability at this time, when we as a nation need serious legal justice to end the current policy of "may the best cheater win". We need honest and transparent elections. We need the people to rise up and demand that the elections are real, and not just lousy theater. It should be an intelligence insult to anyone smart enough to actually hear there is an election problem… and we need to be concerned enough to research it. We need the media to report and let us know both what is happening, and in a just society… what should be done.

Again, who are these people?

From a September 2, 1996 article about Judge Saffold:

"Men are easy," Cuyahoga County (Ohio) Common Pleas Judge Shirley Strickland Saffold told the defendant Katie Nemeth. "You can go sit in the bus stop, put on a short skirt, cross your legs and pick up 25. Ten of them will give you their money."

The judge continued, "If you don't pick up the first 10, then all you got to do is open your legs a little bit and cross them at the bottom, and then they'll stop."

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1355/is_n16_v90/ai_18650720

To add to the injury for the Death of Democracy as a result of the 2004 election fiasco, the will of the voter not being honored, and the tax payers dollar wasted on partisan voting machines and paying the salaries of people with documented election crimes. Now Defense Attorney Synenberg now wants the Cuyahoga County BOE to pay his substantial legal fee for defending the two convicted women. "The board said it would pay if there was no finding of guilt," he said. "Well, there is no finding of guilt" http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2007/11/elections_board_workers_to_tak.html

Heaven help us! Can our new Secretary of State, and our new Attorney General do anything about this? Will they?

Please take the time to educate yourself further, some really important facts on this case, and other Cuyahoga County election issues from the Blog of Adele Eisner at: http://citizensboe.blogspot.com/2007/11/and-115-recount-hearing-said.html

It is with great hope for better times in the future and great sadness for my nation and our recent history, and that I write my first blog for Progress Ohio. I take time now to address a few items, and to invite the public to attend three memorial events...

Citizens Mourn Anniversary of Ohio's "Death of Democracy",
The 2004 Presidential Election, and other election violations.
Columbus, Ohio, on Friday, November 2, 2007.

November 2nd, Friday at 11:30 a.m. will begin with a Eulogy and New Orleans-style funeral procession for the 'Death of Democracy" starting at the Ohio Statehouse. The funeral procession will start at the McKinley statue on High Street at 11:30 a.m., and will proceed to the Franklin County Board of Elections, the Ohio Secretary of State, and the Ohio Attorney General. Jazz band players will lead the parade, and the public is welcome to join peacefully in the procession. Musicians are still needed and encouraged to RSVP with Paddy.

From 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the First Unitarian Universalist Church, 93 Weisheimer Rd., Clintonville, please attend the Memorial Service for Democracy. Come share your feelings and stories of disenfranchisement during and after the events of 11/2 2004, the date of the Ohio general election sanctioned by the Bush-Cheney campaign re-election chairman, Secretary of State Blackwell.

A Wake from 7:00 p.m. till midnight at the Victorian's Midnight Cafe on Fifth and Neil, (go North on High, west on Fifth), citizens are invited to participate in dialogue to identify and frame the most significant issues for action for 2008. Music and speakers are promised for the event.

Why.... because it is not getting any better.

In August I founded the citizen's action group, The Ohio Election Justice Campaign. We are now announcing three events for general public participation for Friday, November 2, 2007. In recognition of the third anniversary of the defrauding of the 2004 general election in Ohio, (and seven years since the election theft of Florida) representing the defeat of democratic elections in the state, the OEJC now works to restore public attention to the continuing plight of election problems, even under the current Democratic administration.

Given these disturbing facts -

That two members of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections (Maiden and Dreamer) were convicted for rigging the 2004 recount, sentenced to 18 months in prison, and as yet have not been imprisoned for offenses. The trial has been extended as the attorney for Maiden and Dreamer claims to have new evidence to submit, but it is as yet unseen. There is evidence that the same behavior was perpetrated in 2004 on a statewide and systematic basis in many Ohio counties and many of those same counties destroyed their 2004 federally protected election records. Look at Green Party Recount Reports, and know that for a county to prechoose the precincts is illegal, and this is what got those ladies the 18 month prison sentences. So with investigation, would others running Ohio elections be looking at that fate also? http://www.iwantmyvote.com/recount/ohio_reports/

In Ohio, 56 of the 88 counties turned over partial or no ballots to the Secretary of State when ordered to do so in the spring of 2007, by a US District Court Judge under the threat of a fourth degree felony and contempt of court charges. These are the people's records, and there are now over 1.5 million 2004 ballots forever gone. The Ohio Secretary of State, now has in her possession the remaining evidence of the largest crime in world history (look at the effect worldwide of this non president)... the theft of the US Presidential Election. There are over 2,200 boxes of election records in her possession.

Also in these 2004 election records that have been gathered is the evidence that the Ohio Supreme Court races in 2004 were rigged in Delaware County. We have evidence of the rigging of the Ohio Supreme Court in another county also. Those Delaware County records exist in full. Then there are stickered ballots where Kerry votes were covered over with a sticker and changed to Bush votes in Clermont County, admitted to by Board of Elections member Danny Bare. Some of these Clermont ballots are in the custody of the Ohio Secretary of State. This is just a small sample of the horrific stories. Why are these same people to be administering the 2008 elections? What about the rule of law?

Why when asked, will the Secretary of State not inventory or collect the 2004 signature books and poll books across the state that still exist? How many of these records have been destroyed or discarded? They are needed to audit the records. On July 6, 2007 Brunner's executive assistant was informed, and given the Certificate of Disposal for Clermont County that was filed with the Auditor of State and the Ohio Historical Society that says they disposed of the signature and poll books in July 2007, yet nothing was done regarding accountability that we know of. Again, these federally protected records, are the people's records. Why will the Attorney General or Secretary of State not investigate those records... or if they have, can the public please be informed that something is finally getting done.

Members of the OEJC have let both the Ohio Secretary of State, and Ohio Attorney General know of many of the crimes for which those missing records are the physical evidence. Yet nothing is being done. Why? The only response we get is that they must get ready for 2008. The OEJC has requested to meet with the Attorney General and Secretary of State, and has now waited 83 days, yet nothing is scheduled. The group is growing and welcomes others who share our concerns.

The OEJC draws public attention to the lack of political courage to prosecute the crimes of massive, organized election fraud against the people's will in Ohio. These crimes extend out to harm the entire nation, and the world. We ask for the return of the rule of law. Democracy died in Ohio on November 2, 2004. Can we resurrect it?

Even the 2006 election of Carole Squire, in her race for Judge, and the following trial, and actual investigation (done by the Squire team, too bad that again no law enforcement stepped up) showed huge problems in Franklin County. The machines we voted on here, were not even certified for use with the mixture of parts they were assembled from. Karen Cotton from the Franklin County BOE admitted in court testimony that she could not balance the election books.

So has voting improved with the new voting machines that HAVA, which was given to us by the now federally convicted Jack Abramoff and Bob Ney... no... not really. In Delaware County when the voting machines were not working correctly for the 2006 General Election, an election observer reported that the advice given to poll workers who called in to report this problem was for them to pick up the machine, tilt it to the right... and shake it. Will we be asked to trust these machines again?

So now The Ohio Election Justice Campaign has scheduled the following events in Columbus, Ohio on November 2nd, 2007 to bring attention to what has happened in 2004, and the subsequent elections. We hope that all this is dealt with, and people are held accountable.
