Matt from Right Angle Blog recently posted this little quip about Zack Space's recent appearance on "The Colbert Report":
Even though it is all a joke, this video makes a clear point: Democrats in much of Ohio don't win by being Democrats: They win be sharing the morals and traditional values which are associated with the Republican Party. Zack is a far-left liberal, but he is smart enough to know how to hide his views in his conservative district.
So how many Democrats did you see accusing their opponent of supporting NAMBLA, being gay, or lacing bananas with marijuana? How about Democrats investing state money in rare coins or taking poker chips and golf trips in exchange for congressional votes? If Democrats are now acting like Republicans what are Republicans supposed to act like? Preschoolers*?

A few days ago I made a Google Co-op search engine to allow me to search through a bunch of Ohio blogs for information about a certain topic. I figured since it's there I might as well share it with anyone that might care to use it. You can find it here or install a Firefox search plugin (complete with hastily made icon) here .
There's a full list of sites that are searched after the jump. Please let me know if I'm missing something or if you have any trouble with the plugin (if your using it).
Update: I can't get the list to post right but you can find it here.
Al Gore has accepted an invitation to address a joint hearing on global warming by the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality and the Science and Technology Subcommittee on Energy and Environment, both of which Gore is a former member of.
Al has become the spokesperson for global warming after his recent documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" popularized the topic. Gore's film has been nominated for two Oscars and Al himself was recently nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. It was also recently announced that every secondary school in the United Kingdom will recieve a copy of "An Inconvenient Truth" from the British government.

Remember hearing about that big $26,844.00 check Bob Taft sent to the BWC as a "contribution refund"? Well it turns out that he was refunding all the donations he had received from Tom Noe and his wife over the years.
During his final weeks in office, former Gov. Bob Taft took care of one last obligation related to the controversy that plagued the final year and a half of his administration.
His campaign committee sent a check for $26,844 to the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation to cover the contributions Taft had received from coin dealer Thomas W. Noe and his wife over the years.
Can you believe it? Bob Taft is actually capable of doing the right thing. Granted this is more of a 'string him up if he didn't' issue opposed to a 'let's throw him a parade' issue but I really didn't think he had it in him.
