National Day of Action: ProgressOhio Protests Rep. Rennaci CD-16 and Rep. Johnson CD-6
National and state groups, including ProgressOhio, today engaged in protests in more than 30 cities, including Canton and Marietta Ohio, against the Mitt Romney-Paul Ryan economic plan to make the Bush-era tax cuts permanent for the richest 2 percent and against members of Congress, including Representative Bill Johnson CD-6 and Representative Jim Renacci CD-16, who both recently voted for a Republican bill to extend the Bush tax cuts for the richest 2 percent.
Protesters delivered a five-foot poster of a six-figure check payable to "Millionaires" from Rep. Bill Johnson and Rep. Renacci for $160,000, who recently voted to extend the Bush tax cuts for the richest 2 percent.
