Since 2007, Ohio State has spent more than $64,000 on bow ties, bow tie cookies and O-H and bow tie pins for [school president Gordon] Gee and others to distribute, the newspaper found.
The Dayton Daily News article also notes that Gee lives alone in a 9,600 square foot house owned by the university, where he has thrown 275 events or parties in the last five years. In addition to the $673,000 worth of art work and furnishings, he has a $532 shower curtain, also paid for by the public university.
