State Rep. Sykes to Host Education Funding Hearing in Akron


State Rep. Vernon Sykes announced the Ohio House Special Finance Subcommittee on Primary and Secondary Education Funding will hold a bipartisan, regional committee hearing in Akron.

The purpose of the regional school funding hearings is to engage the business community, philanthropic organizations, education stakeholders and citizens in various regions of the state with respect to their ideas, concerns and issues related to K-12 funding.

WHAT: Regional Field Hearing on Education Funding

 Topic: Categorical Funding/Weighted Student Funding

WHEN: Wednesday, August 22, 2012, 6:00-8:00 P.M.
