Here's what the New York Times had to say about our protest:
Mitt Romney had a message for the protesters who greeted him and Representative Paul D. Ryan, along with 5,000 supporters, here on
Saturday morning: "This is kind of like the Greek chorus in the background," he said, in a reference to President Obama's speech four years ago at the Democratic convention in Denver, which he delivered in front of large Greek columns.
Approximately 40 activists made our presence known this past Saturday to welcome attendees and the Romney/Ryan caravan and press corps to Powell. Our loud enthusiasm made animpact as Romney referenced our presence during his speech calling us his Greek Choir (a high brow out of touch attempt at an insult).
The message from our group was loud and clear on Saturday that the Romney/Ryan plan would kill Medicare as we know it and hurt Ohioans who rely on these important benefits.
