Fearing “inappropriate political pressure,” four Democratic lawmakers are asking the Ohio inspector general to investigate the handling of environmental matters by the administration of Republican Gov. John Kasich. The quartet of House members say they fear that “politics may override policies” at the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to the benefit of Kasich campaign contributors and the detriment of clean air and water.
